Golden color with a thin head with low retention.
Unpleasant aroma of corn, some oxidation and light lemon.
Expected flavor for an adjunct lager with notes of corn, light herbal hops, muffled lemony, oxidation, some booze even at 5.5% abv and cardboard. Dry aftertaste.
Watery body with good carbonation.
This is a bad executed adjunct lager that is a hard to drink. Oxidation and booze bothered me the most. At least it is not sweet.

Of the various pale lagers available in Chile, this was the best of the bunch. As would be expected, it was full of corn adjunct, which was prevalent in both the smell and the flavor. Yes, it was pale yellow with a light fluffy head. It was, however, a more maltier mix of the rest with a creamy mouthfeel that wasn't a corny mess. Available just about anywhere while in Chile. If you get tired of fine wine and can't find some Kuntsmann or Kross, Escudo will do you just fine.
