After fording several "street lakes" and dealing with people who don't know what do when traffic lights go out, we made it to the location. It would be an easier trip in better weather.
Beer was all the way in the back of the store. Taking up 2 full isles with cooler as the far back wall. Beer quality looked good. Very few beers looked like they had been on the shelves too long.
Service was good. There was a person "stationed" next to the cooler. He was helpful finding things asked for and had some knowledge about the beers carried in the store. We browsed for quite a while, so we were asked several times if we needed help.
Decent looking selection. Most everything that was offered, we could get in Atlanta. The imports seemed to have better variety, though.
Prices were higher than we are used to paying, but only by a $1 or so.
Next time we go to Savannah, I'm sure we will be stopping by there to stock up.

Absolutely perfect for the craft beer lover in your life!

I have been to quite a bit of liquor stores, as a craft beer aficionado. I can tell you this is the best I have experienced to date. They have a special when it comes to pick-sixers that makes them the more cost-effective place to buy beer from. I wish there were stores in FL, but it appears that Habersham's are in GA. As while my son is stationed in GA I think I will be visiting this for my every craft beer need.

This is the best, one stop beer, wine and liquor store in Savannah. Terrific selection. Great prices. Knowledgable staff. Being from PA, this is greatly appreciated. This place is Total Wine and More on steriods. Our second stop whenever we visit Savannah.

Large building, with lots of selection. There was always an employee asking if anyone needed help. Each time someone asked him for something, his reply was always no. Made me feel a little skeptical about the place. Overall, it was good, not great...Especially as there seems to be little to no order for the way they have it set up

First, let me start with the fact that this is literaly one of the only two big places you can buy craft beer at. There are two Habersham Beverage Warehouse locations (this one and the original one downtown). The staff, like many retail stores, can be hit or miss with helpfulness. There is really only one guy ( Jason, I believe) that knows a lot about beer. He is their beer manager. With that being said, there are others who will definitely help you find what you are looking for.

If you ask for something and they don't have it, they will take your name and check with their beer distributor to see if they can get it for you. I have asked for two things in the past and received calls back both times. One that I asked for was a specific Belgium Tripel that I tried at World of Beer in Savannah, but they said it couldn't be brought into GA (sometimes these big bars will serve things that shouldn't neccessarily be brought into the state). The other was I asked to be put on a waiting list when they received Founders Breakfast Stout. Sure enough, I got a call from the beer manager once it arrived and he reserved a 4 pack for me in the back. They don't charge you anything extra, as most places do not.

The other reviews have stated this is your typical large wine-type warehouse. Probably 50% of the store is wine, 30% Liquor, and 20% beer, if that. They have two fairly decent sized aisles with four rows on each side full of beer. One aisle is import beers on both sides. The other aisle is Micro and Macro brews from all over the USA. Overall, they sort of have a monopoly on the entire town when it comes to buying beer to take home. There are plenty of establishments that serve wonderful beers, especially World of Beer, but if you want it for home, Habersham is where you will get it and that isn't a bad thing. I just wish we had more options to potentially create a competetive market, while also bringing a bigger international selection. Great people, decent in-store service (depending on the day), and awesome service on special orders. Hope this helps.

I live in Columbus and was in Savannah visiting saw the reviews on here So I decided to go by to pick up quite a few things The employees were very knowledgeable and helpful They got me a few boxes to pack up all the stuff I carried because I had so much Also had very helpful recommendations. They unfortunately no longer carry cigar city brewing Which is what I went there to find originally. There are other selections made up for it though They had two aisles at least four shelves on either side Completely lined with different brews. Largest selection from all over the country that I've seen in Georgia, They also had a pretty decent international section. I bought 31 separate beers which was just a small portion of their selection And only spent $88 Not too bad in my opinion. Highly recommending stopping there if you are in savannah.

Habersham off Abercorn is the closet place I pick up Founders, Lost Abbey and Port Brewing stuff from my south Florida home base. I have been there several times and no one has approached me for help or to answer questions, but that is okay since I know what I am there for. Selection seems to be good compared to some of the better stores back home, with Founders, Port Brewing, Lost Abbey, Sweetwater, Lakefront, Unita, Cigar City, and a lot of other stuff I see in south Florida (sorry I can't name more as my thoughts are fixed on the beer I cannot get). I stop in when passing by or in town and they have yet to disappoint.

One of the only 2 options for purchasing craft beer in Savannah (the other being the original Habersham location, of course), Habersham Beverage Warehouse (Abercorn) offers everything you need from the Georgia beer scene, including Terrapin, SweetWater, and Wild Heaven, and plenty of other "regional"offerings (Highland, Duck-Rabbit, Thomas Creek, Cigar City, ect.), along Bell's, Founders, Brooklyn, Sierra Nevada, Flying Dog, Lost Abbey, Victory, and others. Import selection is decent, with standards like Duvel, Chimay, Westmalle, and the like available. The options at this store differ slightly from the other location (which has a smaller selection overall), so I usually plan time to hit up both to get the full picture. However, if you only have time for one definitely go here. Prices are always great. Service is decent considering I go there basically once a week, but the staff is only as friendly and accommodating as they need to be, nothing more. Still, if you're heading to Savannah this is your only option, so stop on by!

This is a standard Wine Warehouse type store in a strip center. Two aisles of beer in the back and a row of coolers. I was primarily interested in stuff I couldn't get in Florida and I immediately spotted a nice selection of Port/Lost Abbey. They seemed to have quite a lot of other, regional stuff and while I ignored the imports, there were plenty of them as well. Service isn't something I am concerned with at package stores, but at one point someone wandered into the beer aisle and asked if anyone needed help, so I'll count that as a good effort. I was very pleased with my experience here and I'd definitely be coming back.

In a heavy shopping district near the military base. Three solid aisles and a row of coolers at the back of the store. 80% of the store was wine, they had a TON of wine in this place, it is not small. Still the staff seemed interested enough in craft beer. Great varied selection, the star being Lost Abbey/Pizza Port for those of us in the other SE states. As others have said, it would help if they offered singles of everything. Domestic selection is very good. You'll find larger import selections in South Carolina, unless Atlanta just gets everything.

Reminded me alot of the Binny's in the Chicago area. Certainly the best store in the city, doesn't look like there are many other choices anyway.
I think I hit the 3 high points of the town, this, Moon River Brewing and The Distillery.

Yeah, great place. Beer in the back, mostly displayed on two very long shelves, both sides, with some Belgians on another shelf and lots more in the cooler at the very back. Amazing what a difference a few states makes, as I found stuff here I cannot find in NC or VA, stuff from Saint Somewhere, The Lost Abbey, Atlanta Brewing Co. and Port Brewing in particular -- and more. Everything seemed pretty well up to date (ie. not a whole lot of dusty bottles), prices are clearly displayed, everything very much in order.

Service is excellent, right down to the guys at the counter opinionating (in a friendly way) on some of the stuff I bought as they were ringing it up.

Very much a liquor store type of atmosphere (ie. not much atmosphere) but if you came for killer beer, whether it's American, English, German, Belgian or otherwise, you can't possibly walk out disappointed.

They have another location, on Habersham, which is basically just as good and even had a few different selections from this one on Abercorn. I visited on both on the same day, four days ago, so my recollection of the particular differences isn't clear, but rest assured either location will satisfy any local or traveler.

I think the Habersham Warehouse on Abercorn is easily the best place for beer in Savannah. Perhaps it's because I'm young and still constantly researching the world or beer, but I always find something new that I'm up for trying when I stop by. Also, it's the only place I know of that stocks a bunch of my favorite beers, and at the best prices also. All the 750mL bottles of Unibroue products are about $7, where as at other stores I've seen them as high as $10. Bleh!

Whenever I've been in, I always have at least one person asking if I need help. The one time I did ask about a product listed on their website, I was told that the site was probably well out of date, which is unfortunate, but I really doubt that is the fault of some random store employee.

Overall, I love the store. Good prices, good selection, good service. When it comes to buying beer in Savannah, it doesn't get much better than the Warehouse.

Stopped in hoping to snag a few seasonals I hadn't found to no avail. Workers there were eager to help and obviously knew a bit about beer. All the usual suspects were there, but the workers lamented that sometimes they weren't able to get some beers that Atlanta does as well as those people looking for South Carolina beers (which of course the sale of in Georgia would be illegal). A good first stop for anyone in the Southeast, and would probably go back again, especially in a different season.

Quite a way from downtown, but well worth the trip if you are visiting.

As others have said, three rows of beer all the way in the back of the store. Coolers along the back wall. Some beer located to the left of the shelves as you walk up the middle aisle of the store.

Good selection of both imports and micros. Great selection for the area and for GA in general. Highlights were Founders Nemises and beers from Napa Smith. Lots of Founders, Stone, Avery, Highlands, Sweetwater, Victory. Prices were cheaper than here in NC. GA is a pretty cheap beer state for the south. Liquor prices are pretty good here, at least compared to NC.

Service was attentive, without being overpowering. They were eager to sell beer and knowledgeable about their products.

Close to the mall, if the family is along.

Visited the Abercorn store during a vacation to Savannah a few weeks ago.

First off, the store was Extremely out of the way of our hotel in the Historic District and pretty much all of Savannah's major attractions. My wife and I foolishly thought we would walk to it, since our hotel was on the corner of Bay St. and Abercorn. Thankfully, we looked up directions and found it was 11 miles from the hotel. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, since it's well out of the way of tourist traffic, but you have to want to go or you'll never see it.

Habersham is a well-sized liquor store with a pretty impressive selection of wine, spirits, and beer. I had fun strolling the bourbon and scotch selections before wandering back to the beer section.

Habersham's beer section is comprised of three isles and a wall of coolers. One isle is dedicated to Belgian beers, and they have a great selection. Many of the trappist ales are represented, as well as other ales, lambics, and saisons.
The next isle houses many British beers, as well as a few other European and Canadian selections. This was my first time to see many of these beers, but they also had many familiar offerings. The last isle is filled with domestic microbrews, either in six-packs, four-packs, bombers, or 750s. I saw examples from Allagash, Stone, Rogue, Highland, Terrapin, Sweetwater, The Bruery, Avery, Great Divide, Bell's, DFH, and many many others. The coolers were dedicated mostly to cases of BMC products, but they did have micro cases and sixers as well.

We were visited several times by the beer manager. He was very friendly and offered advice on their new arrivals and other selections.

The only point I have against Habersham is that they don't sell singles or split six packs. The beer manager told me that places that offer singles have to sell them at very high premiums and they don't think consumers should have to pay extra for a single bottle. They do have a small section of singles in their cooler, and I imagine these are leftovers from broken sixers. I don't really buy this, because I've been to several stores in other states that offer singles at the unit price of a six pack. I couldn't imagine paying $18 for a six-pack of Oaked Arrogant Bastard here when I can get a single for less than $3 elsewhere.

All in all, Habersham Beverage Warehouse on Abercorn has a great selection of high-quality and hard-to-find beers, paired with knowledgeable and friendly staff. However, some of the prices were slightly higher than I'm used to seeing, and they still had several out-of-date seasonals on the shelves. Because they don't offer singles, I was only able to buy 5 bombers/750s since I was afraid to invest in a strange six-pack.

Stopped by on my way to Tybee Island to pick up some beers for vacation, great selection of beers, and pretty good prices. My only complaint was that some of their beers were out of date. Picked up a six pack of Stoudt's American Pale Ale that had a best by date of November of last year, I was there in June 2010. I should know better and always check the labels before purchasing but I was kind of grabbing stuff quickly and getting out. Good selection of Georgia beers and good selection of beers from elsewhere, I finally got to try something from The Bruery!

I stopped in here while I was on a road trip to Savannah and central Florida. This place was recommended to me by some local BAs and it lived up to their praise.

This is basically a typical liquor store that has a decent sized beer selection in the back. On a side note, behind the counter they had a bottle of vodka that was in the shape of a rifle in a gun rack. Anyway, back to the beer.

I went in hoping to find some local/south atlantic beers not available in the northeast. Not only did they have a great selection of Terrapin, Duck Rabbit, Sweetwater, etc. but they also had a very nice selection of Belgian and Italian imports(which I'm always looking for) and ridiculously low prices. The people who worked there were very friendly I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area and I will definitely be stopping in there again whenever I'm down there.

The beer selection is pretty amazing at this place, Terrapin seasonals, SweetWater, Stone, Victory, Duck Rabbit, Fort Collins just to name a few. The service was not good, I was told the Beer guy was not in and the guy I spoke with only knew wine. I do not want to give the service a bad review because I didn't speak with the beer guy, but I am sure he would of known their beer. The only grip I had was that the SweetWater I purchased was about to expire, no biggie the IPA is still amazing a day after its freshness date.

Beer is in back as others have said, 1 cold row and about 2.5 to 3 not cold. Lots of stuff that would never get into Jacksonville. The worker really new what he had in stock and had most locals well represented which is always nice. there is an aisle of all American micros, and another of all Belgians, with a nice mix in the coolers as well. you're best best to stock up on Micros when you are in Savannah. After a long night at the Moon River Brewing Co, I decided to stop in here before my trip back to North Carolina. I pulled in the parking lot on a very chilly morning at about 910: Store was closed. But, they opened at 930. After sitting in my van doing some paperwork, I waltzed in. A huge place. Beer all the way in the back. Nobody greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. I dont like that. I usually know what I want, but when coming from out of state, Im not sure what they carry or dont and would atleast like some acknowledgment of my presence. Oh well.

Selection was great. I bought some Fuller Vintage for cheaper than I have seen anywhere. Lagunitas, Terrapin, and other locals also available. I was pleased overall, but service needs some attention. All of the beer looked fresh. Some pricing issues as some of them werent priced on the bottle or on the labelling. Overall, a good selection and the best place to go in the area by far.

As a opposed to their sister store that is the size of a closet. This one is the rest of the house. Even though it is mostly devoted to wine and liquor their is a substantial selection when it comes to beer. They hide the beer all the way in the back. With the cooling units being devoted to mostly major label stuff. But along the preceding aisles are selections for whatever you are after.
At this locatoin you can also order kegs but the only ones that they have in stock are run of the mill stuff. If you want anything else you can expect to wait a week or so. The staff here didn't seem as nice as at the other store but they do have a lot more ground to cover at this one.
Overall a good place to buy beer that would be impossible to get anywhere else around here.

I spent a LOT of money here stocking up on some favorites not availible in FL. They even had a Florida brewed beer that I had never seen in Florida before..Beachside Porter. It’s definitely a decent beer store with a very good selection and decent prices.

It has probably the best selection in the state outside of Atlanta. Another thing that earned them points in my book is that they sold glassware, but unlike most places that charge insane $5+ prices for glasses they get for free their prices were a very reasonable $3 on most glasses. I almost never will pay $5 for a swag glass, but by marking them down to $3 I spent $9 on glassware to round out my collection.

They also have wine and liquor and the prices are pretty decent on those as well. It's in a strip mall area off a main road so not terribly hard to find and not too bad a drive into downtown from this location.

Hands down the best selection in Savannah. As mentioned in the other reviews, there is a nice mix of Belgian, German, British, and some Irish beers. The imports are a draw for the expat community as well - hear quite a few U.K. accents in the place picking up the only available Greene King products I've found in the entire region. Habersham sports a very strong micro/specialty domestic selection as well.
Service level is terrific. The owner saw me wandering the aisles, asked if he could offer anything, and pulled out the master distribution list when I asked for some of the Dominion Ale I enjoyed when living in Virginia. It's on order now, and his attention, coupled with a selection worth a specific trip for obscure favorites, have solidified my loyalty. If you're in Savannah, or just passing through, this place is a nice break from the standard mass-produced domestics you'll find in 95% of the local outlets. Don't miss it.

Located in a relatively new (3 to 5 years) strip mall, this is their flagship and newest store.
All of their beers are available as singles. Most of their beer is also available in six packs and cases. They have about 15 or 20 feet of triple shelf space and carry a pretty sizable amount of beer considering our 6% law. There is also a cold cooler in the back with most of the micros and some imports inside. Surprisingly they had far more shelf space (about 75%) devoted to micros and imports.
We ended up with several cases of beer and so far have had only one bottle that was bad. I'm not sure if this was due to their mishandling or the distributors. They had a lot of low abv English beers and german with a generous amount of US micros. There were even a few belgians there which was a pleasant surprise. The best beer store I've found in Savannah so far-but I am still looking.
There website also has a beeradvocate link on the links page, which made it that much more surprising that they had yet to be added to the beerfly.
My review is in comparison to stores I have been to in other states that don't have our 6% law. I would grade it against other 6% stores a 4.3 overall.
