A: Pours a clear gold with a tight, clinging white head.

S: Aromas of pine, spruce, lemon, lime, and grapefruit are balanced by cream and wheat bread on the nose.

T: Notes of pine, spruce, herbs, lemon, lime, kumquat, grapefruit, and bitter orange blend with malty flavors of wheat bread and cream. The finish is bitter with intense citrus and pine flavors.

M: Very light in body, silky, and smooth, but a bit resinous on the finish. Carbonation is very discreet; in fact, I would say this ale is slightly undercarbonated. That, however, is not a knock, as it is still very drinkable.

O: I've been really impressed with BBC's recent brewpub exclusives, and Hoppy Wheat continues this trend in style. If it were ever brewed semi-regularly, it would not entirely replace Southern Tier's Hop Sun or Three Floyds' Gumballhead as my go-to summer wheat beer, but, as is, it is still a likable hop-heavy pale wheat ale.
