Ordered at Calgary location (why are the Brewster's beers all divided up by location? Do they actually vary much from location to location? I think they are all from the same source). No goddamn lemon wedge. Pale straw beer with minimal head and clear appearence. Aroma of fresh bread, subtle citrus and other fruit notes, maybe a hint of wheaty spice. Smells fresh and bright but mellow. Palate follows the nose, albeit more unassuming and veering towards the bland. I get a bit of lemony citrus, a whiff of clove and dry dusty peppercorns, minimal hop character, a nondescript sourness and a bone-dry finish. Too much carbonation. Obviously a great thirst quencher in hot weather but underachiever when it comes to flavor and overall effect. Might be better unfiltered.

This beer appears a clear medium golden hue, with one finger of soapy white head, which leaves pretty consistent lace around the glass. It smells lightly of wheat, and sweet citrus. The taste is light wheat grain, a bit of clove and citrus, and some mild yeast. The carbonation is moderate, the body fairly solid, and a bit oily, and the finish is yeasty white grain.

Light and refreshing, but fairly subdued in overall flavour.

It was poured very clear and very pale yellow with essentially no head. A lemon sitting on the rim of the glass immediately turned me off quite a bit. Not the beer's fault, but the tip suffered.

The aroma was a very light hoppiness with some sweet wheat. The lemon impacted the aroma a bit, so it was hard to find anything else.

The flavour was wheaty, bready, and toasty, with a lightly bitter but clean finish. It's very refreshing, bright, and clean tasting. It's quite drinkable, and one of Brewster's better beers.

500ml bottle poured into pint glass 4/3/12

A clear pale yellow with lots of tiny bubbles feeding a thumbs width of dense foam that leaves a few patches of lace

S grainy lemon and some thrills gum

T dry cereal comes out a little more and the thrills gum is gone, pretty basic stuff but I don't mind it

M those tiny bubbles feel just a little prickly and a fairly light refreshing brew with a pretty clean aftertaste

O perhaps better suited for a hot summer day but a decent beer either way but nowhere near mind blowing

Brewsters makes plenty of decent but basic brews like this one and the occasional winner, at least the beers you need to sift through to find the gems are at least decent
