Pint at Beer Revolution 23/11/12 from notes

A nearly black with a deep cola edge, streams of bubbles and a few suspended particles, finger of mocha foam hangs on long enough to leave lots of random lace

S it took a second to place but Kahlua comes out strong, chocolate syrup, Black Forest cake with some whiskey and wood, not overly complex but it smells amazing

T more woody whiskey barrel notes then the nose with some chocolate covered raisins, the Kahlua covered cakes not as strong, tastes good but the nose was awesome

M a little thin for the color but the bubbles give it some life, some Crown and Coke lingers on the finish

O pretty solid brew and quite unexpected seeing it on tap at Beer Revolution, I had no idea this was in the works so it was a very welcome surprise

I like Crown aged stout surprises, pretty happy to stumble upon this offering, hard to believe I had no clue this local barrel aged stout existed

it was listed at 5% on the beer board and I'm listing it under Edmonton Brewsters because it's just easier for me to review all the Brewsters brews under the Edmonton listing. that reminds me, why haven't the listings been merged yet? I bet Blue Monk would enter the top Canadian 100 if all its reviews were under the same listing
