Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee beans are grown in the fertile soil of some of the highest Caribbean peaks, making it one of the most prized gourmet coffees in the world. This rare coffee uses lightly roasted Arabica beans to create subtle acidity and a well-balanced chocolaty finish. With the help of local roaster, Mostra Coffee, these 100% Blue Mountain beans were sourced from the renowned Mavis Bank Coffee Factory in Jamaica. Carefully roasted and cold-brewed, this coffee is the perfect complement to our award-winning Imperial Stout.

Had on tap. Fantastic coffee variant, it's like the coffee and speedway stout were destined for each other! Smell and taste both hit rich and dark lush roast with fudge chocolate, earth, buttery vanilla, and integrate with the malt beautifully. The smell has more of the roast where the taste focuses on the malts more, some caramel in there for instance. Feel is malty, dark, earthy, and percolated with coffee.

Pint growler filled at Barrels & Vines Sep 2019. Poured into a tulip glass.
Pour: dark brown/black. Very little head or lacing.
Nose: surprisingly little aroma at all. Maybe some coffee but not a lot else. Could be me...
Taste: dark roast coffee dominates everything else. Maybe slight chocolate, leather, hint of caramel.
Mouthfeel: low carbonation, somewhat viscous but not oily. Maybe even a bit dry. Wonder if the full wasn’t good...
Overall: not sure what to think. It’s ok but mostly tasted the coffee with little balance or complexity. Probably wouldn’t seek out again. Somewhat disappointing; not bad but not special in any way.
