750 ml bottle Erin brought back from San Diego.
Appearance: Pours a beautifully clear golden color. Starts with a nice bone white, tightly bubbled head, but the retention and lacing are subpar for the style where these things are prized.
Smell: Very fruity and spicy. Pears and tropical fruits. Yeast is spicy and musty. Candy like sweetness and no smell of booze.
Taste: Again, fruity and spicy-- spice dominates and becomes herbal and a little sharp. Tastes a bit too boozy too. Long yeasty finish. Hold the coriander please.
Mouthfeel: Quite good. Very lively carbonation and a slick feel. Well done.
Overall: A good, strong Belgian style pale ale. Overspiced, but pretty solid.

This was deceptively strong.
It pours a clear golden color. There’s a light aroma with a bit of an estery aroma to it. I found it sweetly flavored with an orange blossom characteristic shining through. I had enjoyed it thoroughly, felt it afterwards!

On tap at the Blind Lady Alehouse on the 4th of July in San Diego.
Appearance: Excellent clarity in the amber body. Small but semi-durable white head. Head leaves some sticky streaks and spots on the glass.
Aroma: Sweet biscuits, yeast and faint tropical notes.
Flavor: Fruity, slightly tart, mildly bitter. Banana and clove evident, as is the higher ABV. Seemed to have a narrow tempeature range for optimal flavor and balance. Moderate complexity. Relatively good finish and aftertaste.
Feel: Light-medium body with medium+ carbonation. ABV mostly evident.
O: true Belgian style and quality.
