On tap at Beachwood BBQ in Seal Beach. Seriously, how does he get some of this stuff? Speaking of which, he just put on Reality Czeck...
Anyway, on to the beer. This is one ridiculously good red. Perfectly balanced with a good, healthy dose of piny hops. Malt flavors are excellent - taking the best of what the good reds do and applying it to a hoppier version of the style. There's an almost rye-like quality to it also. Could they be using some rye in this? As far as I know, they don't - but it reminds me of that. Nice caramel sweetness too from the malts. Great balance.
Mouthfeel is nice and smooth, with a perfect level of carbonation. Drinkability is too high.
Highly recommended. A great, perfectly balanced red.
