I was delighted to find this one at the Cap N' Cork in Los Angeles since I'd never tried an Alesmith product before, but had heard very good things about them.
Pours out a nice solid golden orange with a quickly evaporating white head. Very little bubbles.
Smells orangey. It was a general citrus scent, but orange popped out most in my mind.
The taste that first hits you is that citrusy orangey flavor, then a smokey characteristic creeps up in the end.
Feels absolutely smooth in the mouth with almost no carbonation noticeable.
Quite a drinkable number, though it might be a little too sweet for some.

Swung by local bbq and craft beer joint, bobbique, for some lunch and a pint. Served in a glass mug. Brew is transparent brown w a thin creamy almost tan head. Nose is malt forward with a really nice crystallized malt caramel thing going on in the taste. A bit toasted. Easy drinker really nice example of the style, but on the earthier side of the spectrum. I wouldn't expected less earth and more hop from alesmith.

Poured into a modified tulip at 50deg.
A - Caramel colored, clarity is nice, light thin topping of white froth.
S - Tones of warm dark fruit, burnt sugar, and warm wheat toast.
T - Caramel, brown sugar, a hint of floral at the end.
M - Uniform coating that lingers for some time. The carbonation is low giving the mouth feel a slickness.
O - I find the offering a little thick, the flavor is complex, and the balance is wonderful
I will revisit and report back.
