A: Pours jet black with a thin dark tan (almost mocha) colored head. The head reduces to absolutely nothing. Light amounts of lacing is observed.
S: Wonderful aromas of coffee and dark chocolate with subtle hints of dark roasted malts. There is that bitterness to the smell that I associate with freshly ground coffee beans (like minutes after completing the grinding).
T: Really rich flavors of coffee, dark chocolate, and heavily roasted (almost burnt) malts. There are some slighter hints of oak. There is a wonderful espresso bitterness in the finish that lasts and lasts.
M: Full bodied with light to moderate amounts of carbonation.
O: The alcohol in this beer is extremely well hidden. Wonderful coffee aromas and flavors (something I really enjoy in a stout) make this beer top notch and one of the best coffee beers that I have had. Great beer and please let me have it again.
