Shared a 750ml bottle of this with spointon on 5/10, into a pint glass
Pour was dark as hell with a dark tan head of about one inch that held up for a while but ultimately ended up falling down and leaving minimal lacing.
Aroma was heavy on chocolate and coffee but there was also a pretty prominent dark fruit character of cherries, plums, and berries that was pretty interesting.
Taste had chocolate up front followed by the dark fruit character earlier. Again I tasted cherries and plums. The coffee came in next but it wasn't really too strong like I was hoping it would be. The fruit and coffee flavors linger into the finish.
Mouthfeel was medium bodied and very smooth and creamy. Pretty drinkable for the style.
Overall I was expecting it bit more from this beer so I was slightly let down. It was still a good beer though that I would be more than willing to have again.
