Poured into a Duvel glass this IPA has a vibrant orange color that glows in normal lighting. There is a light white lacing head that has collected to one side of the glass.
The smells are a touch muted despite a fairly fresh bottle. Pine, citrus, and pronounced grapefruit hit the nose hard. There is a resiny aroma that clings to the nostrils.
Taste is intensely bitter, nearly no malt is prevailent (this is definately a west coasty). The hop bite is like fresh hopslam - to the point where its almost overwhelming.
Mouthfeel is light and the carbonation is perfect.
I was able to put this one down fairly easily despite the seven and a quarter percent abv. There's plenty of flavor, the right amount of alcohol, and really hits the spot if you're looking for a notable IPA. Check this one out if you can get ahold of it.
