Alesmith IPA- one of my favorites.
A-Golden color and super carbonated. Gigantic head that leaves great lacing. What an IPA needs to look like.
S-Hoppy and delicious. Fruity and citrusy hops. Very juicy and delicious smelling. Aromatic is quite the perfect word to describe this. Subtle spicy hints.
T-This is exactly what I wanted and needed. The hop flavor follows the smell. Surprisingly well balanced. Great citrus and pine combination. The flavor is just a textbook delicious IPA. Very nice.
M-Nice carbonation and respectable feel on the tongue. Medium bodied.
D-7.25% and no alcohol burn. I could easily consider this a DIPA, but its a regular IPA. I love how much flavor they pack into this bad boy. Overall, an unbelievable brew.

Poured a 22oz. bottle into a Sam Adams custom.
A: Color is a burnt orange to light amber, and the pour produces an off-white, yellowish craggy head at 2 fingers with good retention and a sticky lace.
S: Light toasty malt, some graham cracker. The hop embellishments are on the resiny and citrusy side with subtle tropical fruit like pineapple and mangoes, maybe even a little peach.
T: A lot going here: The malt base light and toasty, bready, a slight hint of sweetness like graham crackers. Then there is a gentle hop bitterness that creeps in but is then upstaged by a middle act from the malt...tropical fruit and some creaminess. But then the finish leaves a pleasant hop bitterness on the palate with remaining traces of the complex malt.
M: Very light carbonation, medium-light body and a tightly woven texture.
O: This is one of the most unique but well-balanced IPAs that I have had. Relatively incredible. I would pair this with any sweet-spicy dish with pineapple, like pineapple-chicken skewers or other Hawaiian fair.
