On-tap at the tasting room, I had a couple samples.
A - black, ravenesque and inviting. Head is minimal and mocha in color.
S - a few swirls produce the most wonderful fresh-roasted coffee aroma. Sometimes I wish my coffee would smell like this.
T - starts off similar to regular Speedway in terms of coffee and chocolate. This is when it takes a turn toward amazing. I'm not sure the method of coffee extraction but it reminds me of cold press coffee that I've brewed myself. Miniscule acidity and bitterness. Dark chocolate and roast appears mid-palate transitioning into a coffee heavy finish.
M - perhaps a touch too much carbonation for my taste. Tongue is well coated with medium viscosity.
O - Hands down my favorite coffee stout. I think this is my favorite version of Speedway as well, with the coconut and vanilla version a close second.
Serving type: on-tap
