Great clarity in this tawny, sunny yellow beer. Looks like a Pils, but the two finger dense head tells you otherwise. Lots of active carbonation beneath. Good, steady layers of lacing. Very piney with lots of grapefruit. Hop aroma is strong and obviously unbalanced, but it's refreshing and effervescent. Malt is there behind the hops: orange and biscuit, mainly. You can tell it's light in nature. The taste is surprisingly mild at first. Light biscuit malt is prevalent, but the grassy bitterness lingers and is more memorable overall. Some orange flavor is there in the malt, but it's subdued. I'm averse to an IPA malt bill that leans too far towards the orange flavor, so this is a relief and really showcases the hop flavors. I mentioned grassy, but it's also nectary and honey kissed. Not too heavy handed with the sweetness; yields to hops well, knowing who the headliner is. Balanced feel, tending towards light. Slightly dry finish.
This is a great beer, if uncomplex. But sometimes that's needed and welcome. This is a stage for great hops that aren't too heavy handed. I could drink this all year.

Serving Type - 22oz bottle
Appearance - Golden tan, mellow yellow with a killer 3 inch thick, foamy head. Tons of sticky lacing.
Smell - Nice upfront citric, piney, grapefruit hops. Orange, some lemon, mild malt backbone. Sweet added sugars, along with some spices like coriander, lemon peel.
Taste - Right on par with aroma, big amounts of citric fruits featuring pine, grapefruit and orange. A bitter kick with some minor spices add a little zest behind tangerine and mango. A nice sugary note along with a caramel malt backbone.
Mouthfeel - Sweet tropical fruits along with some sugars coat the tongue. Palate gets more citric fruits, along with the caramel backbone. Aftertaste is minor bitter, tropical fruity.
Overall - Awesome. This should be a regular release. Really flavorful, nice amounts of hops and sweet sugars to create a nice smooth drink. Alcohol is hidden well and just adds to making this really pleasurable to drink.
