Poured from 22oz bomber into a pint glass.
Appearance: medium golden-yellow hue with a haze-free body and a moderate effervescence. Head pours several fingers of creamy ivory foam which dissipates slowly leaving a chunky lace on the glass. Quite beautiful indeed.
Smell: herbal and citrusy hop aroma; surprisingly light and refreshing-smelling. Despite the huge ABV, the malt is not heavy or cloying or anything, something I really like. There's almost a lemon or grains of paradise aroma here, too, but it's very subtle. I like it.
Taste: citrusy and refreshing right up front; the malt comes in later with a nice earthiness and sweetness. Bitterness is strong, and there's a bit of an astringent acidity here, but I think it complements the citrusy hops very well. A very well-composed beer!
Mouthfeel: medium body with a good level of carbonation and creaminess, especially for a DIPA.
Overall: I like this beer quite a lot, although drinking a lot of it would be a bit of a task. While I like the refreshing qualities of the lemon/grains-of-paradise flavors, I feel like these add a little harshness that impact drinkability.

Serving Type - 22oz bottle
Appearance - Golden tan, mellow yellow with a killer 3 inch thick, foamy head. Tons of sticky lacing.
Smell - Nice upfront citric, piney, grapefruit hops. Orange, some lemon, mild malt backbone. Sweet added sugars, along with some spices like coriander, lemon peel.
Taste - Right on par with aroma, big amounts of citric fruits featuring pine, grapefruit and orange. A bitter kick with some minor spices add a little zest behind tangerine and mango. A nice sugary note along with a caramel malt backbone.
Mouthfeel - Sweet tropical fruits along with some sugars coat the tongue. Palate gets more citric fruits, along with the caramel backbone. Aftertaste is minor bitter, tropical fruity.
Overall - Awesome. This should be a regular release. Really flavorful, nice amounts of hops and sweet sugars to create a nice smooth drink. Alcohol is hidden well and just adds to making this really pleasurable to drink.
