Been sitting on this one for a while...
Pours like regular Speedway: damn near opaque with a fizzy tan head.
Smells like bourbon, dark chocolate, charred barley, and a super smooth Kopi coffee. The bourbon and barley dominate, which is a little unfortunate because the coffee nodes are wonderful.
Tastes like it smells: a super intense melange of whiskey, coffee, and harsh roasted barley. But, again, it doesn't quite come together in the way you'd want an expensive Kopi Luwack stout to, since the bourbon burn overrides most of the coffee node.s
This is pretty good, but I can't help but feel it would have been way better if they hadn't barrel aged it. The point of using the Kopi coffee is that it's so amazingly smooth, right? Well then why burn away that smoothness with whiskey?
