Deep caramelized malt, toasted notes, and bourbon form the aroma.
Tastes like caramel corn, fairly sweet and vanilla dominant, with a touch of bourbon heat.

A: Poured into a snifter to a deep brown topped by a dense finger of light tan head which fades slowly to a collar around the edge of the glass with minimal lacing
S: Smells of rich dark fruits and toffee with a little spice
T: Taste is huge dark fruits and toffee up front with some caramel along with a really nice mulling spice profile. Slight toasted malts but mostly those dark fruits and toffee mixed with the mulling spices. On the finish this beer is more dark fruits with mulling spices and toffee with a little lingering toasted malt.
M: This beer is big and velvety on the palate. Carbonation is effervescent but not prickly while the beer has a drying finish which is expected and very nice.
O: Overall this beer has held up incredibly well. No off flavors at all and everything is perfectly blended together when it comes to the flavors on this one. Really nice complexity with a lot of subtle background notes. This is definitely a beer to sip and savor. I wouldn't mind seeing this one come back.

Bottle: Poured a dark brown color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry fruits and caramelized sugar with light fruity ester is quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by caramelized sugar with dry raisins note, light fruity ester and well balanced residual sugar notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation and surprisingly no apparent alcohol. Well balanced and very enjoyable for the style. Brewer should think about brewing again and maybe giving it a barrel treatment.
