Rich dark brown in color with great clarity. A thin layer of white foam rests on top. Brussels lacing. Luscious nutty aroma along the lines of hazelnut and caramel greets me. Delicious hazelnut dominates the dark malt flavor. The mouth is smooth and silky.

Glass: Lagunitas mason jar
From: Cherokee Market Beer & Wine in Normal Heights (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Feb. 22, 2014
Consumed: March 2, 2014
Misc.: Bottled on Dec. 20, 2013
Poured a dark brown, almost black color with three fingers of khaki tan rocky head. A good amount of semi-layered foamy lacing along the sides of the glass. Great retention.
Smelled dark chocolate, roasty malts, roasted nuts, coffee beans, chocolate ice cream, toffee, caramel, cocoa and Honey Nut Cheerios.
Tasted caramel, toffee, chocolate milk, cocoa, roasty nuts, bitter coffee beans, fudge, biscuits and Cheerios.
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long finish.
I really enjoyed this beer. Great for the style and something I’d certainly have again.
