Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.

Nice to see this one poured for me along with my father's birthday dessert. It pours an opaque obsidian topped by a nice finger of dusty brown foam. The nose comprises rich chocolate syrup, molasses, and light roasted malts. Basically, it smells like dessert. The taste holds notes of cocoa powder, mild roasted malts, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The body is a stolid medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a semi-chewy feel. Overall, though a bit thin for my desires, I really don't want to stop drinking this beer. Good times.

Consistently surprised by the quality brews these guys do, especially considering how cheap their beer is. Had an almost 1 liter mug of this stout for $2.63.

Pours an opaque black/brown, thick tan head forms, some sticky lace, great retention. Smell is sweet, roasty bitterness, chocolate and coffee, rich. Taste is malty, some toffee, heavy chocolate through the middle, roasty, very nice, dry roasty bitter finish. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with low to medium carbonation, tad bit weak in flavour but a very nice and drinkable stout.
