This beer is very good as a stand alone but it tends to bitter if eaten with the normal fare at the Ram restaurant where it is served. Smooth with a hoppy finish.

On tap at the brewpub on 7/24/12
My intention was to review only the Big Red IPA but after my wife pointed out that the Raspberry Blonde Ale was made by dumping raspberry syrup into a pint glass and then pouring the regular Blonde Ale into the glass. I decided right there to tick-up the tasting flight by allowing only one line from my steno pad to each beer.
Irresponsibly-deserved Tick #7
A) Dull tobacco brown. Small foam, no retention.
S) Tangy fruit, caramel, buttered toast.
T) Floral hops and caramel and bread. Buttered toast and apple jam.
M) Medium body and nippy carbonation.
