Poured thick, black, with a strong aroma and tan head that took its time disappearing. Robust wheat flavor with a strong reminder of the alcohol was present too, but with very little hop presence. It was the aftertaste that shocked me, because it was present after a while and greatly later, almost overpowering in its taste changes throughout the growler.
When tasting this beer it was from a growler poured at the Rosemont Ram, brought to a party, so it was tasted through various stages of coldness (or warmth) and recapped and finished the next day. It was the transformation of this brew that was the most upsetting, I think. I want to give it a decent chance but I think I will try it again as a single draft at the bar to see for myself.
Great idea and hyped well too by Ram. Just wish I was more impressed overall.

Served in a shaker pint glass at the brewpub.
This seasonal gift was unveiled very recently. It pours a hazy burnt sienna topped by over a finger of tan micro-foam. The nose comprises cinnamon, brown sugar, light maple syrup, walnuts, figs, and a touch of rum raisin cake. The taste holds notes of nutmeg, fig, brown sugar, light sourdough, and rye bread. Somehow, the spicy and bready notes really don't meld together quite as well as they could have. The body is a straight medium, with a very light moderate carbonation and a somewhat grainy feel. Overall, a nice bit o' brew, a welcome surprise on a cold Winter night like tonight.
