This is a fairly large establishment. On the left when entering is the lounge, aka: sports bar, with the dining area on the right. They have about 7-8 regular beers on tap with 3 seasonal beers to choose from. They have a solid selection of beers with most of them having shagged an award or two. If undecided you can order a sampler selection of six beers. Surprisingly they do have bottled BMC offerings for the uneducated. The menu has a good variety with salads, sandwiches and dinners to select from or just wings & things to go with the beer. If you are in a hurry they do have Growlers to to go. For a chain operated establishment it is quite good.

I went here last weekend (Fri evening) with some friends as we all work in the area.
I ordered the beer flight right away and got more than I was expecting out of the Blonde and Hefe. I was underwhelmed by the Pale Ale and IPA. The Porter was very solid but didnt knock my socks off. Also tried samples of the Dopplebock (good) an Irish Red(ok), and a Dusseldorf German Ale (something like that) that was very good. Most of the beers I tried, minus the Pale Ale and IPA, exceeded my expectations. Everything was reasonably priced, if not borderline cheap. I got a beer flight and three 18-oz drafts for ~$22.
Our server was excellent. She was prompt and had a great memory, and even returned a food item before we even mentioned there was a problem with it because she noticed it was made incorrectly. I did not eat so cant comment on the quality of the food, but our table seemed to enjoy the appetizers they ordered.
If you are in the area I would recommend checking this place out. The beer lineup is solid, not great, but very drinkable and very affordable. The atmosphere was good as well, not too loud despite being packed(in the sports bar area), and the majority of the customers were middle-aged, but with a sprinkle of mid-20-somethings to round it out.

I was able to come to this place on several occasions with my family, and I must say that it's a pleasant place to have dinner and a brewski. Knowing that it's one of many in a chain takes away from the charm of the decor and the merchandising doesn't help either, but by no means does that make the place unappealing to the eye. The overall quality of the place is pretty good I like a lot of how the place is focused on their beers as a centerpoint even going so far as to use certain ones in their signature dishes. The service the last time I went was excellent and the server sure knew the things he was talking about, but I remember from past instances it's not 100% the case. The beer selection has one beer of a number of styles, most of the styles light or hoppy ales, though the last time I visited it was Oktoberfest time and that was a solid lager. The food is pretty darn good no matter what you choose. The stuff that uses their special bbq sauce is the best, but you can't go wrong with most things on the menu. Everyone in my party left satisfied and it's a really nice place to go.

Ram is right down the street from my place, and it's the bar my roommates and I hit up when we actually feel like going out instead of picking up something from Binny's. Prices are decent for beer. $5 for a pint every night except Tuesday when pints are $3. At this price, this place is unbeatable for the area. You have fresh microbrews at the price that most other area bars in Wheeling and the surrounding area charge for Miller High Life. Service seems to be hit or miss. On weekends expect to wait a while at the bar, or forever if you sit at a table. Food is good, albeit a little pricey. However, on "Restaurant Row" on Milwaukee Ave, it's pretty standard.
The beers are decent. As others have said, the regular rotation is nothing stand-out, aside from maybe the porter. The IPA is disappointing. Where Ram really shines is in the seasonals and limited release beers. Their Octoberfest is quite enjoyable. I also had an Imperial Stout a while back that was excellent as well as a Belgian that was quite good.
Overall maybe not the best place I've ever been, but for the suburbs it's hard to beat (at this price anyway).

A fairly large brewpub in Wheeling. At first glance, this place seems just like any other chain restaurant, with random stuff on the walls (though less than other places), flat screens playing the sports, and fairly dim lighting. On one side is the bar area, with a wall loaded with extra booze of all sorts. On the other side is a normal restaurant area. I've found the food to be top-notch, particularly the steak (especially when marinated with the house porter). The house beers consist of a handful of standards with a rotating stable of seasonals (about 2 per season, give or take). My personal favorite is their Total Disorder Porter. They allow you to taste every brew before you commit, and provide growlers (occasionally with special offers attached). The brews themselves are basically solid, but, aside from the porter, none are truly special.
Overall, this place is a good chain with decent beers. Worth at least one visit if you're in the area.

Went here with a group, this time, which allowed us to sit in an adjoining room, cozy with a fireplace, and enjoy the wide variety of beers there. We started with appetizers, including the big platter consisting of quesadillas, buffalo chicken etc., another plate of onion rings, calamari and another with the crab and artichoke dip, all excellent. Paired our steaks with the likes of the Big Red IPA and the seasonal Imperial Stout, both excellent. Finished with a skinny glass of the seasonal Trippel. Couldn't stay away so I had a pint of the 71 Pale ale too.
All the beers were enjoyable, although some have been a little better than others, some less memorable. The Belgian Wit is passable, and the Blond is lighter and crisper, not too bad over all. Our sampler horn consisted of all the big names, and after a quick brew-house tour we were able to talk with Dave the brewer for quite a while, which was very interesting.
Since it was our group's Christmas outing the boss told us to fill or growlers on him, which I did with Buttface Amber Ale, a consistent crowd pleaser, and the most popular according to our brewmaster.
I will return. Can't help it with the half-price growler fills on Friday and Saturday.

A warehouse type atmosphere, I sat at the bar and talked to Mickey the bartender for a little while, he talked me into a imperial IPA that was a seasonal brew. He gave me a little sample. I enjoyed the beer. I decided on a crab and shrimp corn dog that he suggested as well as an order of half priced wings as I had made happy hour. I was there on a Monday so the pints, 18oz, were only $4.00. I thought the beer was really great for the price.
I liked the wings wich were Frank's hot sauce wings and comparable to those you would get in Buffalo. I tried the Barefoot Wit next. I liked this brew refreshing and it went well with the wings.
The baretender was really knowledgeable about the brew and the styles. There was a couple of baseball games on, video games and easy to fing this is a place I will try again if I am in the area.
