Intense lemon pledge (with aftermath hint of pine) on aroma and taste. Feel is clean andlight. All this "east coast" style BS needs to be abolished. This is just a DIPA though there is a more yeast driven flavor element - some phenolics (spice, maybe banana) - that I *think* are what he meant ... but it's not the normal east coast yeast profile. Experimentation is great. Embrace that. But let's not use nomenclature to drive hype.

Pours a rather hazy light sun burst orange yellow with a finger of frothy foam.

Nice aroma of citrus, papaya, watermelon, honeydew, and pineapple.

Flavor matches aroma, big tropical and citrus fruit character of papaya, guava, grapefruit, orange, pineapple, and watermelon.

Medium-bodied, low-medium carbonation, slick, slightly boozy.

Overall, needs some work in the body department, but really damn good!

Look is very hazy. It smells and tastes like a starburst, very juicy. A long with how juicy this beer is, the best thing is how clean/smooth it drinks. No bitterness at all.

Thanks Matt for sharing!
Cloudy orange, spotty lace. Smells like bubblegum and fruit candy.
Tastes like sweetened tropical grapefruit bubblegum, medium lingering bitterness.
Feels yeasty and slick. It's ok but nothing special in the scheme of things.
Not sure why people are clamoring for this. The reviews smack of textbook homerism.

750 ml bottle, released yesterday* (*as of the article writing). "New England Style Double India Pale Ale with El Dorado Hops". 8.00% abv on the label.

Poured into appropriate Mikerphone Brewing stemware.

A - Pours super juicy and hazy - this thing literally looks like a glass of juice. One finger of frothy soapy white head.

S - Huge juicy aromatics; just bursting with fresh juicy El Dorado hop goodness. Hop citrus & tropical fruits.

T - Big & juicy. Bursting with fruity hop flavors: mango, papaya, oranges, guave, pineapple. Extremely fresh, fruity, & tropical. Immense juicy stone fruit goodness.

M - Feel is extremely smooth, juicy, & fruity. Semi-dry, with some lingering fruit pulp / hop resin clinging to the palate.

Overall, amazing, delicious, the hottest brewery coming out of Chicago right meow. Highly recommended stuff all around.

Ok, the first thing you'll notice about this beer is the burst of pineapple as soon as you open the cap. Wow, that is amazing.

Pours an opaque, slightly hazy orange copper color. Thin minimal white head dissipates rather quickly leaving a thin ring of white foam around the outside.

Smell is PINEAPPLE. TONS OF PINEAPPLE. I had to double check to be sure it wasn't brewed with pineapple, its not. Its just got an amazingly robust pineapple aroma. Undertones of an herbal hop smell with some sweet fruit punch notes.

Taste follows the nose initially with a thick pineapple flavor, slight honey sweetness on the tongue with a bit of peach, mango and papaya notes. On the back end there is a nice bitterness that cuts any sweetness and leaves a dry bitterness on the tongue. Aftertaste mellows out to a pleasant lingering pineapple taste on the palate.

Feel is rather juicy and thick albeit it very smooth and drinkable. Crisp and refreshing. The bitterness provides a dry finish on the back of the throat.

Overall a really nice DIPA. Definitely did not disappoint. Im looking forward to this again in the future although I hope they release another batch of the Mosaic hopped version.
