Hazy, dark amber, almost purple color, with a decent head that receeded to a thin lace rather quickly. Grassy aromas that I've found in many Belgians, along with a bit of a citrus (lemon?) aroma, and a dark, sugary fruit smell, reminicents of grapes.
A bit of a fruity, sweet taste, followed almost immediately by a sharp tartness. The taste of alcohol is pretty prevalent in here, as well, while the feel seems almost a frothy, smooth feel.
A very good Dubbel in my limited experience with the style. Very enjoyable. Many thanks to afatty for sharing this beer with me.
