Pours a deep, murky, tea-like brown color with a creamy off-white head that retains fairly well. Aroma consists of clove, raison, and belgian spice. Taste falls right in line behind the aroma, with clove and raison flavors. This beer also has a pronounced, and complex malt flavor...when followed by the alcohol warmth, it kind of reminds me of warm bread. Plum and yeast flavors are on the back end before a pretty clean finish. Body is somewhat light for a dubbel, and carbonation is a bit much, but this beer still drinks quite easily. Worth a try, but too pricey for what it is in my estimation.
