Tiarna is a blend of two beers, one aged in oak and fermented with 100% brettanomyces and the other fermented in stainless with a blend of two belgian yeast strains. Both beers were brewed with a combination of 2 row and wheat malt in addition to specialty grains. It was hopped with Hallertau, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops. The finished beer is dark golden in color with citrus, pineapple and bread in the aroma. The flavor of this tart beer has notes of grapefruit, lemon, and bread crust, and a long, dry finish.

Pours a very cloudy, dark golden yellow color with banana edges and a massive, three finger frothy white head that very slowly settles into a thick, pillowy cap. Possibly over carbonated with very good retention, taking a while to settle and leaving large chunks of soapy lacing behind.
Earthy aroma with a prominent musty brett character. Strong barnyard and wild yeast presence along with hints of sourdough bread, floral hops, lactic funk and subtle citrus. Smells kind of like a bretted Berliner with tame acidity. As it warms the wheat, bread notes come forward along with some banana and lemon pith but the nose is dominated by the musty brett notes. Complex and inviting aroma.
Medium body with tight carbonation and tart, puckering sourness that lingers throughout into a dry finish. More sour than the nose hinted at with prominent musty funk and citric acidity. There's a really nice balance of dry brett effervescence, bright lemon zest, and subtle lactic cheesiness. Underneath, there is a decent wheat beer base with hints of sourdough bread, banana, lemon peel and light fruit esters. This is a very well balanced beer that is clean, crisp and refreshing. Some really nice flavors bouncing off of each other with just a touch of funk countering the brett and tart acidity. Subtle boozy sweetness in the finish but the ABV is very well masked making this complex beer dangerously drinkable.

Opened a basement aged 2015-09-16 on 2019-10-01.
Probably the best aged beer I’ve had. Meaning it aged better than any beer I’ve had before/after tastes of.
Going to drive to the packy and grab a couple more. May even become a yearly thing.
The belgian yeast caused all these crazy esters and spice notes to surface. Gotta ask them what “specialty grains” mean.

A: Poured into a Duvel Tulip to a light golden yellow topped by a dense finger and a half of white head which retains very well and leaves minimal lacing.
S: Smells of pineapple with some citrus, bread dough, and funk.
T: Taste is pineapple and citrus with some nice tartness and some bready doughy notes. Tons of pineapple and citrus on the palate along with some funk. Swallow is more pineapple and citrus with some slight oak, light vanilla and lingering funk with a little bit of tartness.
M: The beer has a moderate amount of body to it with a slightly silky and syrupy mouthfeel. Carbonation is effervescent but it is not prickly. The beer has a drying finish which is expected for the style.
O: Overall this one is really good. It reminds me a lot of Mo Betta Bretta with all the pineapple notes. The beer has some solid flavors and complexity while still being fairly approachable. It's worth a try if you don't like your wild ales on the sour side.

Loud pop when removing cork.

Taste has a light acidity, belgian yeast spiciness, malt, with a dry final with funk.
A very enjoyable carbonation that makes your tongue fizzy, long aftertaste, drinks by itself.

Fairly loud pop of the cork, pours a hazy gold color with a white fizzy head that immediately disappears. Aroma is dominated with pineapple & traces of bread & mild funk. Taste is somewhere between tart & funky, with grapefruit & bread flavors. Moderate body & carbonation. Complex & fun to consume.
