Is this an ipa? It's tastes like an ipa, very strong hop presence.

Had on tap at the Roast House in Frederick. Very nice bright yellow with decent head and good lacing. Not much in the nose at first. Taste is extreme funk and horse blanket which I usually love but not much else. Not sour and not much sweetness or complexity. A bitter finish as well. One of the bigger letdowns from allagash. Plus it cost me a heafty $8.50 for a 9pz pour of 4.5% beer. Yikes.

On-draft during a night of monumental stink at Novare Res. Full notes taken to phone during consumption.

A- Bright and mostly clear golden pour to the Allagash glass. A foamy several finger white cap with pretty good retention. Medium ring means sheets and spots.

S- Brett citrus and stone fruits all the way. Clementine, tangerines, apricots along with musty cherry pie, dry straw and crusty grain.

T- Like the nose but feels a bit watered down and lacks the pungent feel of the aroma. Apricot, tangerine, pine, citrus fruits, straw and bready grains.

MF- Light end bodied that goes with the flow of the experience. Foamy fairly high end carbonation causes the beer to puff up with some spritsy froth.

Brett and Session. Nothing wrong here at all and brings a slight funk but mostly tropical fruits and dry straw. Taste lacks some depth of flavor from the aroma.

On-tap 1/4/2015 at Pour Farm in New Bedford, MA, served in an over-sized wine glass.

A: The beer is a very light yellow color, with a large foamy white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong citrus, wild Belgian yeast, some spice and some light malts.

T: The taste starts out with sweet flavors of citrus and some mild spices followed by some mild sourness from esters and wild Belgian yeast. The malt character is thin but brings a good balance. The after-taste is slightly tart.

M: Smooth and very crisp, light body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and clean.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, decent kick, very good sour representation of style, this is a solid beer to drink for a while.

Aroma fruitiness, yeasty Brett funk, pepper, light malt, tartness, & straw. Taste creamy zest fruitiness, Brett, light hops & sour malt.

Decent head and lace, the latter leaving several streaks. The color is whitish straw and very cloudy.

The smell starts with piney hop and a bit of lemon to the nose.

This is a refreshing beer: thin bodied, highly carbonated and easy to drink. There's a lot of lemon and biting hop. The flavor is very dry. While the aftertaste is short, it is quite pleasant.

A: hazy golden yellow, two finger white head fares quickly to a ring. Nice lacing.

Aroma: zesty citrus nose, some pineapple and mango, not very funky.

T: trays like artificial lemon lime candies. Earthy lemony and kind of disappointing. No tartness at all.

M: light and effervescent.

O: interesting and refreshing, slightly funky bit way too artificial for my taste

Form 09/06/14 notes. Stopped in Alewife after visiting Transmitter...long The Jeffrey and Fool's Gold so no surprise Alewife is awesome. 12oz pour in a tulip for $8.

Pours a hazy murky deep yellow color with one inch of bright white head and moderate carbonation evident. Tons of brett, tropical fruits, yeast, fruity malts, oranges, citrus. Taste has more brett, really great. Medium body and high carbonation. Super easy to drink.

Overall a really good session beer with a ton of brett; another winner from Allagash. Surprised ratings of this aren't higher as it is super easy to drink, refreshing, and has a good amount of brett to it for a low ABV. Not sour which I guess some people wanted byt at 12:30PM on a Saturday it was perfect with lunch. Would love to have it again.

Nice and light. Fruity and funky. Very Brett forward. Fairly standard strain with good tropical notes and haylike flavors. Not dry in the slightest, which is really my only knock. A little slick in the finish.

Served on tap at Salud Beer Shop in Charlotte, NC.
Reviewing from memory, so probably not the most accurate or detailed. However, I really enjoyed this beer. Poured a light straw color w/ minimum head and lacing. Smells of citrus, particularly lemon, tropical fruits, and some Brett funk. Taste is light w/ lemon zest followed up by some hay and horse blanket. Not super bretty, but you can tell its there. Just enough hop bitterness to balance the beer. Very enjoyable and highly drinkable. I would buy this by the case if they ever bottled it.

Draught @ Allagash: This one pours a very cloudy, light golden color. There was a small white head on it. Nice nose, with a bit of citrus to it. Some, but little of the Brett. Maybe some tropical fruit also. The taste is very good. Citrus, slight touch of the brett tartness. Medium to lighter bodied. Nice.
