Brewed in April 2004.
The aroma is full of sweet malt and a delicate blend of esters that is flowery and fruity, ther is also a bit of a minerally character.
Poured a nice deep copper with a tan head that subsided to a thin layer.
the flavor begins in a rush of carbonation that begins in a sweet creamy malt flavor that is balanced by more of the fruitynes. The hops seem subdued but this is two years old so it must be less hoppy than when it was originally brewed. The finish is clean with a bit of a lingering hop bitterness, yet the alcoholic warmth is present in the mouth.
the mouthfeel is very good as it is a sweet beer yet the carbonation as well as the use of kettle sugars gives it a clean finish so it is easy to drink. You can definetly tell that this is a ten percent beer. It is very drinkable and I would love to find more of this though it is more romantic to just enjoy this one and to know it was a one of a kind experience.
the mouth feel is perfect for style as it is a sweet beer

Had on-tap at Thirsty Monk Asheville. Served in a small goblet.
A- Pours a light brown color with a 1/8 inch off-white head that doesn't retain long before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a bubbly side patch of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a thick solid ring behind.
S- It could be the incorporation of the four different yeast strains but this smells like it might be tart/sour. Slight booze fume.
T- Nevermind. No sourness, just some awesomely smooth Belgian candi sugar plus some vanilla and caramel notes. Incredibly drinkable for the ABV. Butter, burnt sugar, not very bitter. Also a bit of dark fruit.
M- Slightly zesty. Medium-low carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Haven't had this in so long and it's really a crime that I don't purchase it more often.
Edit: No, it was not intentional that I gave this beer a score of 4.4 but yes, it is awesome.
