2-year-old bottle, served in Chimay glass. Pours out a very lovely rosy-ruby tinted color, though the head forms and fades very quickly. Very nice aroma: sweet, very lightly cocoa malt; resinous hop smells; and a fruity, woody vanilla. Very sweet start, with lots of residual sugars, overlaying a toasty, caramel malt flavor. Bitterness is relatively low for the strength. Lots of fruitiness. Malty finish. Body reasonably light despite the sweetness.
A good late-night beer, just before bed (as I'm having right now).

Had on-tap at Thirsty Monk Asheville. Served in a small goblet.
A- Pours a light brown color with a 1/8 inch off-white head that doesn't retain long before becoming a thin ring around the edge of the glass and a bubbly side patch of surface foam. Resilient lacing leaves a thick solid ring behind.
S- It could be the incorporation of the four different yeast strains but this smells like it might be tart/sour. Slight booze fume.
T- Nevermind. No sourness, just some awesomely smooth Belgian candi sugar plus some vanilla and caramel notes. Incredibly drinkable for the ABV. Butter, burnt sugar, not very bitter. Also a bit of dark fruit.
M- Slightly zesty. Medium-low carbonation and a fullish body.
O- Haven't had this in so long and it's really a crime that I don't purchase it more often.
Edit: No, it was not intentional that I gave this beer a score of 4.4 but yes, it is awesome.
