Here we have an opaque golden brew with constantly streaming bubbles feeding the 1" head of white foam.
Is it appropriate to thank God for beer? Sure it is. Bourbon wafts through the room, emanating from this Goliath of beers. Memories of afternoons with my grandfather race to fill my mind like it was just yesterday.
The bourbon flavor is more subtle and sublime than its aroma, as it competes with vanilla and butter.
Smooth as fine combed silk, light as angel food cake, warming alcohol, and decadent.
I'm not sharing this bottle with anyone, but will rush out and get another for friends. If only I were younger, I'd spend the entire day sipping away. Oh, what the hell, bring it on baby!

A: Clear filtered gold with a softness to it, a fair amount of champagne like carbonation, a finger of stark white head. Nice lacing.
S: Tripel all the way. A sweetness, Belgian yeasts, coriander and offal in a Blue Ribbon way. Light notes of bubble gum and emptied shot gun cartridges just shot. Vanilla? Perhaps but muted in the sort of way you never think of vanilla being in chocolate cake but its there. Coconut (as said on the label) perhaps, as its in a lot of d shelved foods as coconut oil but but goes unnoticed as its mild.
T: Here it comes. Wow. The flavours of a great Tripel – the Belgian yeasts, coriander and fruity flavours are there but mild due to aging, and the lovely bourbon barrels come in strong. Definite woodiness, bourbon, and a softened coconut feel, creamy and smooth and yes vanilla notes. A fair sweetness is there, but not syrupy.
M: Light and smooth, good rich foamy, powdery dry carbonation.
O: Excellent brew. Was questioning it on the nose, but overwhelmed on the flavor. Bought at Greenlife Asheville, drank on the beach at Deerfield Beach, FL, July 17th, 2014.
