We had this one on-tap at the ToronadoSD. Poured into an allagash chalice - the chalice had a 40cl marking on it and was filled all the way to the top - about 1.5cm above the line. A ton of beer for the $3 monday night special, goodness.
Anyways, it was golden and hazy at the start, and cleared up more towards the end. The aroma was delicate and reminiscent of candied nuts. The first thing to hit from the taste was belgian yeast followed by candi sugar. No harsh coriander notes in this tripel. The finish was of sugared fruit but not obnoxiously cloying as some overly candi-sugared tripels end up. Anyways quite enjoyable and easy to drink, no heat to speak of from the 11% abv.
Serving type: on-tap
