on tap at manny browns in philly
Pours a clouded golden color with some fluffy white head - fades out slowly with patchy lacing and retention.
Strong bourbon scents with wood and dark fruit. Raisins, cherry, and dates all swirl together with alcohol heat.
Plenty of wood notes up front with bourbon. Dark candied fruit and burnt sugar with alcohol. Bready malt with crust and sugar. Finishes with bourbon, wood, alcohol heat, and fruit sweetness.
Fuller medium body, lighter carbonation, sticky and chewy. Drinks pretty nice, plenty of bourbon barrel flavor, definitely something I want again, but hot up front.
Serving type: on-tap

Appearance: It has a nice hazy golden/orange color to it. It has a nice off-white head that dies down moderately and leaves some some lacing.
Smell: The aromas definitely give out hints of Belgian yeast, banana, coconut, vanilla, spices and woody oak.
Taste: Like the aromas, it has some Belgian yeast, coconut, banana, faint spices, some vanilla, woody oak and faint bourbon.
Mouthfeel: It has a med-high carbonation with a nice overall balance and feel.
Drinkability: It's a very smooth drinkable beer accompanied by good flavors and aromas.
Serving type: bottle
