Had at one of Faustgeist's epic tastings.
A. Clear, amber-orange. Fine carbonation lends a small head to the beer.
S. Metallic, tinny hops, tart under ripe apples, estery in general. Apricots. Musty yeast, sweet, grassy, faint alcohol.
T. Sweet esters, fruity, hint of tartness, apples and grain, keep thinking this should be more dry. Light caramel malt and wet, musty, earthy hops shine through. Interesting, but not a great blend of tastes. Yeast character a bit too strong here.
M. Light, medium carbonation, finishes semi-dry and sweet with mild alcohol warmth.
D. Pretty good for 8.5%, it's smooth enough and intriguing, but ultimately I didn't feel like this was one of Allagash's best efforts. At ~$15 bucks a bottle you can do better.

From notes at the brewery on 10-17-13
A - Slightly hazed yellow gold with one finger of fizzy white head medium lacing.
S - Nice tropical notes of pineapple and a little mango, belgian yest and some spice.
T - Very good flavor, those tropical notes are front and center followed up by a nice spicy clove and even a slight slight hint of mint, finishes more on the tart citrusy side.
M - Dry but not dehydrating kinda dry, crisp.
O - Very good blend of american IPA and a belgian, tons of flavor.
