Poured into a New Belgium goblet. Label says Bottled September 2013.
A- Pours a semi-hazy medium amber color with a full two fingers of frothy white head that retains very well before melting down to a 1/4 inch head. Sudsy non-resilient lacing leaves a thick ring behind.
S- Funky yeast aroma plays off the citrusy hops bringing notes of pineapple, mango and pear. There's also a decent amount of spice.
T- Taste is more Belgian yeast than hops as the phenols produce a tangy fruit flavor. The bitterness is there but more as an afterthought while the spices and richness from the yeast dance around it. Very smooth for the ABV.
M- Spritzy, tight and crisp. Medium-high carbonation with a lightish body.
O- Not exactly one of the best things Allagash has ever done, nor is it one of the best Belgian IPAs I've ever had, but it's good enough to make me want to revisit it if given the chance.

Appearance: straw yellow color. Completely opaque. Two fingers of an off white head that lingers
Smell: grassy and pilsnery malts. Citrus and big Belgian yeast
Taste: opens up with Pilsner malts, grassy and citrusy hops. The hops are almost immediately drowned by an intense Belgian yeast that is spicy and dry
Mouthfeel: extreme dry and bitterness that lingers
Overall: an intense beer that the flavors are a bit too intense for me. The dryness eats right up the rest of the flavor
Serving type: on-tap
