On tap at my local, served in a goblet. Initially served cold, but I allowed the beer to warm up over the course of a few games of pool.
Appearance: Hazy golden color, more than 2 fingers of billowy white head when initially poured, ran off to about a half to quarter inch sitting on the top. Lacing left on the glass.
Smell: Mostly the belgian yeast, with some citrus zest and a bit of herbal bitterness. I was expecting this to open up a bit as the beer warmed, but it never seemed to, and the yeast definitely carried the aroma.
Taste: Crisp and citrusy without being bitter, very little hop taste. Refreshing and delicious, with a little bit of booze at the end.
Mouthfeel: Full and not too carbonated, avoids feeling syrupy or too light.
Overall: I would drink this instead of paying the import fees for an actual Belgian ale; a really solid offering from Allagash. Will definitely buy again, and will probably adjust the review as I go.

A - cloudy golden body with a towering head when first poured that shrinks but sticks around
N - all I get from this is a breast yeast aroma. Not bad but I was expecting more fruit
M - creamy carbonated feel
T - again, bready yeast but I can also pick up some banana flavor. I also get some tart sour favors on the finish
O - this was my first tripel. I liked it. Maybe I was expecting too much but I wanted more fruit tones. I'll have to try some European variations for comparison but overall a nice brew that I wouldn't mind having again.
