A - A fingers worth of effervescent delicate fluffy off-white head that quickly fizzes away leaving a splotchy yet intriguing lacing... A slightly hazed orange gold color... A modest amount of moderate to fast paced carbonation rises deep within...
S - Lovely Belgian yeast dominates the nose... Pear... Apple... Golden raisins... Candied sugars... Slight allusions to banana and clove... Rich, complex, and rewarding all the way around...
T - The palette is defined by a wonderful balance... The yeast is more subdued as the fruit and candied sugar characteristics rise to meet it... The raisins and pear are the dominate fruits and the candied sugar is mild but plays an important part... A very subtle hint of pepper joins at the finish for added depth and dimension...
M - Medium bodied... Sleek... Loaded with dense carbonation... Dry... Even...
D - Forget about the fact that this is a top notch American tripel, this can be considered amongst the best in the world... A wonderful testament to the style and one for all others to be measured against... My favorite Allagash offering to date... I can't wait to enjoy again and recommend to all...

A - cloudy golden body with a towering head when first poured that shrinks but sticks around
N - all I get from this is a breast yeast aroma. Not bad but I was expecting more fruit
M - creamy carbonated feel
T - again, bready yeast but I can also pick up some banana flavor. I also get some tart sour favors on the finish
O - this was my first tripel. I liked it. Maybe I was expecting too much but I wanted more fruit tones. I'll have to try some European variations for comparison but overall a nice brew that I wouldn't mind having again.
