Poured into my favorite chalice tonight. Nice thick foamy white head sat on-top my hazy pale golden Tripel.

I knew this was going to be something when I uncorked it. The aromas exploded out of the bottle with the rush of air I released. There were many aromas flowing out of my glass. Sweet malt with a touch of orange zest. Spicy with a hint of yeast and bannana essence.

The flavors were biscuity and sweet light malt possibly a hint of banana turning into a powerful mid-taste of spicy and light hoppy bitterness. The aftertaste was solid and lingered pleasantly with sweet and spice flavors competing.

The mouthfeel was right-on, light to slightly medium with a distinct crispness.

Overall this beer was a pleasure to sip this evening.

Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass.

Pours pale golden yellow. Light foam. Cloudy due to the yeast. Smells of pears, apples, passion fruit. Very fruity taste. Citrus pumps through. Tasty bitter wrapped around the edges. Wheaty, flavorful. Complex, yet simple. Excellent.

Updated - poours orange hued with thick white foam. Sticky patchy. Floral notes, spices. Taste is a rum link malt some sweetness. Quite fruity with a finishing sugary hop. Bubblegum flavor. Full chewy mouthfeel. Delicious.

Poured from a 750 into a tulip glass. Batch #176

Appearance: Pours a nice gold. Slightly cloudy with a constant stream of tiny bubbles rising through the glass. The head is thick and fluffy and lasts a long time.

Smell: Fruity and spicy with a malt background.

Taste: Follows the smell. Sweet and spicy followed by bitterness to balance it. Dry and not cloying.

Mouthfeel: light bodied and very refreshing. Plenty of carbonation and no sting.

Overall: Allagash hit a home run with this beer. I will be looking for this one again.

12oz bottle poured into a trappist glass with a golden yellow and a medium white slowly dissipating head. Aroma of sweet spicy fruity notes, some ripe apple, Belgian yeast, light biscuit malt and sweet alcohol esters fill the senses. Taste is Belgian yeast, light biscuit malt, light banana, spicy fruity notes, with some spicy hops bitterness. palate is a medium body, crisp with very nice carbonation. Finishes with some sweet spicy fruity notes, Belgian yeast, with some nice spicy hops for balance, ending is a slightly dry finish with a bit of lingering nutty notes. Overall a very good, well balanced, flavorful and tasty brew, an all around solid tripel.
