Draught @ Blind Tiger.
Pours a cloudy, orange-tinted gold with a pillowy white head.
Aroma is earthy, slightly musty yeast, ripe golden fruit, slightly vegetal with the pumpkin peeking through just a bit.
Flavor begins with a very crisp wheat character that's infused with a yeasty/funky aspect that's almost salty, a bit dry. Pumpkin starts to emerge towards the finish, nutmeg/cinnamon are very restrained for the style - pumpkin aspect is quite vegetal, clear, prominent towards the finish, melding with the yeasty, earthy spice on the finish.
Medium carbonation, slightly soft, medium body. One of my favorite pumpkin brews, but I would love to get this in bottles in order to set some back for a while.

Reviewed on 10/3/08. On tap at Bling Tiger [labeled as Allagash Pumpkin, but apparently renamed "Drunken Promise" in reference to the promise Rob Tod made to Dick Cantwell, which started this beer on the road to existence). Pours a super cloudy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of funk, sour fruits, sweetness, spices. Flavor is pretty spicy, with Beligan yeast, witbier notes (clove), sweet sourness. Rather dry. Not really any pumpkin here but it was a good sour. Nice brettiness!
