On tap poured into a sampling glass at EBF 2012.

Easily the top sour beer of the whole weekend.

Pours a hazy amber/straw color, small white head. Nose is tart and a bit funky but not wet horse blanket.

Taste is fantastic, it's dry and tart with a light funk on the finish that just leaves your palate wanting more. Mouthfeel is smooth with a light but perfect amount of carbonation.

Love 100% Brett beers, on tap at Ebenezers.

A- Hazy yellow orange into a tulip with a very nice foamy, creamy head. Great size and retention. Some nice spots of lace.

S- Brettanomyces. A nice aroma of funk, barnyard, straw, fruit and wild yeast goodness. Like a gueuze in a way.

T- A nice yeast bomb. Barnyard flavors infiltrate the palate, wild but not overwhelming. Good notes of fruit, hay, lemon zest, citrus, more fruit like grapes, apple and pear. Some bread as well.

MF- Crisp light body with nice carbonation. Good, light amount of tartness.

I just love what Brettanomyces can do on it's own. At almost 10% this drinks more like 4%, give me a keg or two for the rest of summer.

On-tap at Ebenezer's, this beer hit the spot after the 4-hour drive.

Pours hazy golden orange, small bubbly white head retains well for the most part leaving some lacing.

Smell was good, taste was great. Brett, nice bouquet of light fruit (apple, white grape and peach came to mind.) A bit of farm and light funk with lots of yeasty bread in the finish. Extremely light, delicate mouthfeel, I didn't know the ABV at the time but assumed it was between 5-6%, can't believe this is 9.5%.

Extremely drinkable and refreshing, especially given the ABV. Nice flavors, great beer that I could probably drink all day.

Description at Novare said this was a Strong Golden Ale fermented in French Oak wine barrels with only brettanomyces claussenni. 8oz pour into an Allagash 25cl glass

A: Cloudy golden yellow pour with a 1 finger white head. There is scant lacing in the middle of the glass

S: Funky, very gueze-like. Lemon, wheat, some vinegar. Great acidity. Some Belgian yeast

T: Tart, slightly funky. A nice light fruit (pear/apple) flavor along with lemon/vinegar

M: Medium bodied. Very carbonated. Fairly tart, but not over the top puckered lips tart

D: Great, very easy to drink. Just the right about of tart flavor mixed with the subtle fruit flavors. Dangerous as there was no hint of alcohol at all
