750 ml bottle, batch # 20
Appearance: Cloudy yellow with fluffy, uneven, white head. The head thins down a lot but still maintains a nice covering over the top of the beer.
Smell: Bubble gum, banana, apple, sweet malty aroma. Light, sweet, non-specific floral aroma.
Taste: Spicy pepper, pear, gren apple, bready, chewy. Sweet with a hint of lemony citrus. Very citrusy up front with a mostly malty/wheaty middle. Watery clean ending with a lingering maltiness. Very light woody flavor like sawdust or unfinished oak.
Mouthfeel: Well carbonated and lively. It dances on the palate and releases the flavor evenly and cleanly. It also has a nice chewy feel from the malts. Excellent feel to this light to medium bodied beauty.
Drinkability: Very drinkable and clean. Complex and tasty and with a well balanced spiciness and maltiness. I will gladly drink this one again. Well done.

Pours a golden yellow and is slightly cloudy. Its got a citrus type of fruity smell and taste to it. Reminds me of a good ole summer ale. Crisp and refreshing. Definitely a beer that I will go back to in the future. Smooth and easy to drink. Overall its a really good beer and lives up to the hype of it being one of Allagash's favorites.

12oz bottle poured into a snifter.
A: Pours a hazy light yellow gold with a white head on top. Some small visible carbonation as well as sediment in stasis in the body. Spots of lacing on the sides of the glass.
S: Real nice belgian qualities as soon as you take a sniff. Solid yeast profile along with the orange peel and coriander. Wheat comes through giving it a grain like quality.
T: Balanced mix of malt, yeast and fruit character in this one. Starts off with a pale malty flavor mixed with a slight banana. Mild orange comes in to pay a visit but doesn't overpower. Light hopping adds just a touch of bitterness. Backend lingers with banana like yeast.
M: Light on the tongue despite feeling creamy on the mouthfeel side of things. Crisp and very refreshing finishing that is clean and not muddled.
Overall this is really a perfect example of the style. Very easy drinking beer that retains a complex flavor profile. Top of its class.
