Served from a 12-oz bottle (no date) into a hi-ball glass.
Appearance: Hazy and pale, with low carbonation and a towering white head. Settles fairly quickly and only leaves a little bit of lacing on the side of the glass. This may have been a result of the glass that I'm using so I may revise this.
Smell: Lemony citrus with plenty of peppery spiciness from the yeast and the coriander.
Taste: Flavorful, juicy lemon with an earthiness lent by the yeast and plenty of the spices you can smell. I really appreciate how the malt balances out the grassy, citrus bitterness in this beer, leaving a tang in the mouth rather than the sourness that some other wits leave. Carbonation and a little bit of alcohol adds a warming, tingly parting shot. Tanginess lingers in the mouth, or maybe it's just watering because I want another.
Mouthfeel: Crisp, clean, and refreshing without being watery.
Overall: This is an excellent beer, and should give anyone who is thinking about shelling out the extra cash for an import a serious reason to pause. Drink (more) local: the Allagash brewers show themselves more than capable of making excellent Belgian style beers.

A - poured a very pale straw, very light color. Sight haze. Head was massive frothy large bubbled 2 fingers, dissipated to a nice soapy froth, although was always lively did not leave much lacing.
S - pungent banana and fruity yeast Esthers dominate the nose. Slight citrus and herbal notes follow, coriander, anise, and clove... Tons of fresh breadyness round out the nose, smells fresh and inviting.
T - I feel the taste follows the nose exactly, no surprises here... Tons of fruityness from the yeast with lots of banana, herbal notes prevalent with a good amount of citrusy coriander, still getting a slight licorice-esque anise and some clove. This taste is supported by a great bready biscuity wheat malt that is crisp and refreshing. Finishes with a clean citrusy bitter.
M - great mouthfeel, very refreshing. Crisp and dry with a good amount of body to the mouthfeel from the wheat.
O - one of the beers that got me into craft back in the day, over the years this hasn't changed and is still just as good today. Overall all just a perfect example of the style to me. Looks great, smells and tastes phenomenal and is really crisp and thirst quenching.
