Cloudy unfiltered Witbeir if I ever saw one. Straw yellow with a decent head. Lacing down the glass is evidence of its sugary contents.
Smell is blatant and upfront. Citrus and yeasty. Lemons and orange rind. Definitely a strong aroma, just not as balanced as some Germans in the same style.
Light and tangy. The body is somewhat lacking for me, which is surprising considering it's as cloudy as the Seattle skyline. I will give it this: it's well balanced. The hops are a gentle compliment to the sweet base.
I'm basing my ratings on a recent mission to submerge myself in unfiltered wheats. This is a fine brew, and very much exemplifies the American varieties of the style.
