Notes/Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.

Poured into a Dogfish pint glass. No readable freshness date.

A- Pours a cloudy straw-like color that lives up to its name with a 1/4 inch head that quickly dissolves to a paper-thin ring around the edge of the glass and light surface foam. Lacing is slippery and trickles down the glass quickly without much pattern formation.

S- Very crisp with plenty of Belgian yeast fume and spice. Some lemon notes and fresh banana.

T- Rich and full with tons of banana and a good amount of spice to complement. Yeasty, light citrus flavors and a tad chalky. All the elements play off one another with great symmetry. Not too sweet and not overbearing.

M- Thin but with some viscosity due to its unfiltered nature. Medium-low carbonation and a bit of prickle from the spice.

O- One of my top 3 white ales if not number one. You can't get it everywhere which is a shame because it's a must-have. The best is when you can find it on tap in which case it scores 5's across the board.

Appearance: Slightly hazy yellow color with one finger of head that fades slowly with a nice curtain of lace.

Aroma: Yeasty with some lemon over pale malt. Hints of clove and allspice in there as well.

Taste: A bit creamy up front with a hefty amount of wheat malt providing a solid base. The spices really come alive in the middle along with the yeast, with the clove being the most pronounced. The spices fade a bit towards the finish but remain pretty prominent, along with a touch of orange rind bitterness.

The Rest: A solid, well executed wit with nice body. A bit spicier than most, but still very good.
