Notes/Commercial Description:
Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.

12oz bottle of Allagash White poured into a standard pint glass. I always pour this using the pour 2/3, swirl, then pour the remainder method. Served at about 45*F.

A: Cloudy, hazy, straw yellow, with a two-finger bubbly head which quickly dissipates and leaves behind nice thick lacing, which continues down the glass as it empties.

S: Lemon, grass, and a little bit of funk. Light smell overall.

T: Yeast, lemon, banana, clove, coriander, and perhaps a little bit of pepper.

M: Quite light, very carbonated, yet leaves a nice coating on the mouth. Dry, crisp finish. Low bitterness.

O: Allagash White is a fantastic Wit. I love the way it's balanced, the feel, the taste, and what it leaves behind after every sip.

Poured from a bottle into a Duvel bulb. Cloudy pale gold color with a small head and some retention. The nose is fresh and fruity. I get notes of bananas and oranges. I also get a sweet musty note as well.

Very light to medium bodied beer with a firm mouthfeel. The taste is on the sweet side, almost as if some candy sugar were used. Sweet, lemony flavors in the front of the mouth give way to creamy bananas and just a hint of tart orange. I don't get as much tartness as I like and I don't get much of the coriander and clove herb notes one comes to expect in this style. Still, very tasty and refreshing.

I thought this was a very refreshing, enjoyable wit, but it's not one I would try again. It's just a bit too sweet for me. I tend to like witbiers that are a bit more tart. To me they are more refreshing.

This beer is a beautiful straw yellow in color. It's cloudy and produced a lovely two finger foamy, pure white head. There is a large amount of carbonation making this a very stunning beer..poured into a pilsner glass.
The aromas were very strong in this, I was able to detect wheat and some spices that I just can't place.
It's sweet and spicey with some very nice herbal hop notes. A very pleasant tasting beer to be sure.
It's light bodied and effervesent. A very crisp and clean feel to the body.
This is a delishious light bodied, low ABV beer that I could drink over and over again on a nice hot summer day.

Appearance: Golden but cloudy and hazy with a white two finger head on top.

Aroma: Clove, allspice, cinnamon, banana, orange and lemon zest, light peppery notes.

Taste: Crisp mouthfeel, lemon zest, clove, green apple, banana, a mild spice note of pepper. The finish is crisp and nice and dry.

Notes: Such a great Witbier drinkable and a great dry finish. Cheers.
