a – pale yellow with a substantial head
s – Strong notes of citrus and coriander
t – The citrus smells come through in the taste, overall a sweet tasting Belgian wheat, no bitterness to the hops
m – Medium bodied, feels substantial and refreshing at the same time
o – Overall great belgian wheat beer for those who tend to like mild, fruitier notes

Pretty golden color with tons of sediment floating all around the beer, definitely looks the part. Big coriander aroma, ugh, reminiscient of Bruery's Imperial Orchard White, in that it was huge, this is about the first thing I've ever had from Allagash that was huge in a beer other than the price.
A sizeable and respectable wheat quotient to the flavor, more coriander gets in the way. Jeez, that's what you go all in with huh? Kind of bitter too, probably the only time a beer owes any of that to the immense coriander presence instead of hops. Taste of some other type of spice that should be used sparingly in anything, especially beer for the most part.
I dunno how they get away with charging the prices they do for some of their beers. Outside of the massive coriander dosage, the beer is only slightly better than the BMC type of clone beers aimed at this type of market.

From 12/31/11 notes. Had on tap at Market Tavern, the old Harry's Tap Room in Clarendon, VA. Served in a pint glass.
a - Pours a murky, pale yellow color with one inch of white head and moderate carbonation evident. Looks like most witbiers.
s - Smells of citrus, lemon, floral hops, coriander, spices, Belgian yeast, oranges, and light pepper. Nose is very nice; load of citrus and lemon.
t - Tastes of citrus hops, lemons, spices, Belgian yeast, coriander, floral hops, fruity and bready malts, orages, pepper. More spice here than the nose.
m - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Pretty easy to drink.
o - Overall this is a great witbier. For the price and availability, I think it's even better. I like the nose a little more than the taste as the taste has a little more spice and the nose a little more citrus, but both are good. Have had this many times and will certainly have it again, I think this would also be a good beer to introduce to non-craft beer drinking people to.

I had this at a local restaurant. This beer seems to be everywhere now. Unfortunately this came with an orange wedge. I would really appreciate it to have my beer without a fruit salad.
The look is very good for the style. It is golden with a lot of cloudyness. There wasn't much head, but that is probably due to the bartender.
The flavor is clean and refreshing. You get the wheat presence and a little bit of banana.
The mouthfeel is very good. I could drink this beer all day.
Side note: my waiter said that this is like a better version of Blue Moon. I agreed saying that Allagash has sould, and Blue Moon is made in enormous batches by Coors. I added that they sell Blue Moon as the non-challenging alternative to better made whites.

On tap at the Allagash tasting room.
A: opaque golden yellow. Half finger of white head settles calmly and leaves good lacing.
N: hay, wheat, yeasty, hint of citrus, a bit spicy.
T: nice gentle Belgian tones, spicy, wheat, refreshing bitter aftertaste.
M: crisp. Refrshing. Nice carbonation.
O: very good and approachable. a good flagship. Would highly recommend.
