Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer. Brewed with a generous portion of wheat and spiced with coriander and Curacao orange peel, this beer is fruity, refreshing and slightly cloudy in appearance.

On tap at Bier Academy in Canyon Country, CA.

Pours a murky light yellow with a white head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Chunky rings of lace line the glass on the drink down. Smell is of wheat, yeast, and spices. Taste is of wheat, yeast, and spices along with a slight perfume flavor that lingers on the palate after each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer but I honestly expected more from this one.

Very good beer. Poured very good into the glass and was simply fabulous going down. A little bland opposed to a Hoegaarden. Honestly, I would say it tasted much better and fuller than a St. Bernardus Witbier. I would recommend this beer for anyone who loves Witbiers.

Poured from a 12 oz. capped bottle (no date) into a tulip glass.

A moderate pour yields a 1-finger off-white head that quickly fizzles away to a thin, clumpy dusting and thin foam ring. The body is a very hazy pale golden straw with just a handful of fat carbonation bubbles charging upward to the surface. Very little lacing can be seen at any point during consumption.

Citrus aromas sting the nostrils immediately with notes of lemon zest, tangerine rind, and sweetened grapefruit. Digging a little deeper reveals aromas of grainy wheat, coriander, and an overlying banana character.

Sweet and sharp citrus peel flavors sting the tongue at the beginning of each sip. However, as the beer is held in the mouth, this quickly fades, allowing flavors of wheat, ripe bananas, and lemon oil. As the beer is swallowed, the wheat flavor really spikes and as it dies down, a fantastic dried banana chip flavor comes out. All these flavors soon pass, leaving only a dry finish that begs you to go for another swig.

Medium bodied with good carbonation, this is a great all-purpose beer. The body is just thick enough to allow the flavors to pop and to prevent the carbonation from being too pushy. The carbonation is a bit fizzy, which is to be expected of the style, but does not seem to help much in the swallow.

Hazy dark yellow color with a thin off-white head. Very little lacing. Aroma is very spicy with pepper, coriander and some citrus. Light-bodied and crisp with a spicy and fruity character, with yeast flavor as well. The finish is sweet, fruity and clean.

A - Pours a hazy straw color with two fingers of good retention and some lacing.

S - Mostly coriander and bready malt. A bit of citrus and earthy yeast.

T - Similar to smell. Crisp, clean coriander, citrus, bread and faint hop bitterness. Some lingering lingering spices.

M - Light mouthfeel with lingering earthiness and spiciness that leads to a dry finish.

O - A great example of a classic style. tasty and east drinking. excellent beer to welcome summer.
