From BeerAdvocate magazine Issue #66 (July 2012):

LOOK: Pale, cloudy straw with a magnificent tight, white creamy head and sticky lacing

SMELL: Spicy, rye, floral hops, gummy phenols

TASTE: Creamy, fresh, pale malt sweetness, fruity hops, bready, rye, leaf, pepper, dry, yeasty, doughy

What happens when rye from Rising Tide, heavy-handed hops from Maine Beer Co. and a Belgian yeast strain from Allagash Brewing Co. meet? This. A neighborhood collaboration.Delicious aroma and flavor, but perhaps a bit too yeasty, especially at the finish. Regardless, a solid offering and concept, with proceeds going to Portland Trails, an urban land trust.

Very hoppy, especially for Allagash. Lots of good citrus here with tangerine jumping out. Smooth and light, I could have a couple.

On tap at Great Lost Beer, fresh and down the street from these breweries. Big C-hop, tasty and lacey on a cloudy yellow body. Fuller mouthfeel. Carbonation is right there. Hoppy for an Allagash, that's probably the Rising Tide contribution. Very good taste wise.

750 mL bottle poured into an Allagash chalice. No bottle date.

Appearance - Pours a golden yellow with an enormous white head. Eternal retention and spectacular lacing. Picture perfect.

Smell - Herbal hops and a nice fruit estery flavor from the yeast. Sweetness backs it up, but not a heavy malt sweetness.

Taste - Grassy hop flavor. I don't get citrus from the hops, but it's got a hefty sweet fruitiness from the Belgian aspects. Aggressive hop character that lends itself nicely. The finish is a nice sweetness that is balanced by a biting bitterness. Peppery, as some others have described it.

Mouthfeel - Hefty body, but still quite drinkable. Good carbonation. The bitterness is well integrated, but still a little strong.

Overall - Quite a nice beer. I'm seldom disappointed by Maine and Allagash. An impressive combination of their respective strengths.

The beer pours a very frothy head and foamy white head that dissipates somewhat quickly. The beer itself is a light amber bordering on copper that is clear. The beer leaves quite a bit of lacing. The beer smell consists of light rye, spices, floral and crisp hops with a fruity yeast smell and a slight bit of alcohol. The beer taste is similar to the smell. Light rye notes and other spices. The hops are stronger in the taste and more bitter than the smell while the fruity yeast notes are weaker but take the edge off of the bitterness. Biting carbonation with a medium body that goes down smooth. Overall, a pretty good collaboration between three breweries and worth getting.

Poured a pale hazy brass hue with a three finger frothy white head. There was very good retention and lacing.

The smell featured vibrant esters, light sweetness and peppery and grassy hops.

The taste offered a full blown peppery hop with earthy esters and a soft malt. Notes of citrus detected as well.

The mouthfeel was toward the fuller side of the style.

Overall a well crafted collaboration ale.
