A-cloudy golden with a sticky white head
S-sour apples. Belgian white spices. Good funkiness going on here. Medium strength
T-comes in with a taste of green apple and pale Belgian spices. The wit aspect and funkiness has gone away. There's a pretty strong bitterness that sticks to the tongue. There's a fruity after-taste.
M-medium dry carbonation with a super dry finish
O-I was expecting more. This is not too great. The flavors present aren't terrible but they don't mesh well together, and it's not very well balanced. Tastes like a mediocre home brewed Belgian. Smells like a masterpiece though!

This is my second time tasting the 2012. The first was at 9 months, this one is now @1.6 years old. It ages very well.
Color is a lovely camel brown, translucent as a strong Belgian should be. Presents with a good head and a fruity nose. The ale has solid body and wonderful mouthfeel, smooth and rich.
The flavor is complex. The initial flavor is wheaty, then fruity. When younger, the spiciness of the peppercorn was more pronounced, now it is a noted after note.
I'll admit that I'm a little sad that this is my last bottle of the 2012. The 2013 is much darker and initially not as balanced, though I look forward to how it ages.

750ml into tulip, decanted for 15 min and reviewed at 45-55 degrees.
Nice 3 finger head over an extremely clear, bright golden body. Plenty of carbonation present. Lots of lacing.
Picked up lots of interesting aromas as it warmed. Ample supplies each of yeast, stone fruit, peppercorn, grass/hay, and a kiss of honey sweetness. Mouthfeel is pretty creamy smooth, with just the right amount of cleansing carbonation zest.
Hoping to find a couple more of these soon before they're gone forever! Would work great with any white meat/fish, or most desserts
