Tasting glass on tap at the brewery.

Appearance: Pours a slightly hazy straw. Fair amount of lacing on way down. Nice carbonation visible. White head.

Aroma: Some clove, some spice. Mostly faint.

Taste: Some apple and pear flavors are more forward in the taste than the nose. Some lemon, too. Spices are more faint than in nose.

Mouthfeel: Sessionable depth. Basic pale ale feel.

Overall: Nice easy brew. Not as complex as some of Allagash's offerings, and certainly not a "big" beer, but it doesn't try to be or have to be.

poured 12oz bottle into Duvel tulip.

A - Hazy light straw with a white 1 finger head, good retention. Thin ring and nice amounts of webbed lacing on the glass.

S - Belgian yeast clove and fruit aromas, lemon zest. Light cracker malt aromas along with minor pepper/spice.

T - Mild and grassy to start with Belgian yeast and light cracker. Fruit notes of pear and apple mixed with a touch of lemon zest. Finish has some clove and spice.

M - Light bodied, perfect carbonation and a dry finish.

O - A nice representation of a BPA.

Pour is transparent golden amber with a tight off white head. Nose is strong, candied sugar and farmhouse yeast with notes of grain, lemon, and a faint pepper and grassy hop. Taste is also sweet, candied sugars are a little lighter with a touch of grain, candied sugar comes behind with farmhouse yeast, light pepper, lemon and some grassy hops through the finish. Body is light, a hint syrupy, moderate carbonation.
